Regardless of your religious or political beliefs, this classic speech by Art Williams given in 1987 is one of the most inspirational speeches ever given. Over the years I’ve watched this speech over 30 times. If you’ve never seen this, it’s a must watch. If you have seen it before, watch it again. It just might be the kick in the pants you need to get off your behind and get things done!
To your success!
Here is one idea that can mean the difference between failure and success. Not failure and success in the short term, but failure and success on the long haul. What you do is important. Why you do it is even more important. If you have an important enough “Why?”, it can carry you through difficult times to achieve the success you desire.

If you had the choice (and you do), would you prefer to be financially wealthy, or would you rather to be poor? For various reasons, I think most of us would prefer to be rich, and although it’s what we’d prefer, most of us have no idea how to get there.
I’m not rich, so I can’t show you the way to being rich, but I have been poor, and it’s definitely not a place to which I’d ever like to return. Somewhere in my journey out of poverty lies the answer to becoming wealthy. Not the ONLY answer, but the answer for me, and maybe for you as well.
Most of us trade time for money. We put in time at a job and we get paid a salary. We get paid by the hour, or per job. We get paid for delivering a product or service, and in most cases, the only way to make more money is… Continue reading
In this video I share one idea that can transform the way you think, which in turn can transform the way you speak, which can transform the actions you take, which can transform the outcomes you produce. Implementing this one idea is easier said than done, but doing so can transform your entire life.
I’d love to hear your comments on this. Do you agree or disagree? If you disagree, tell me why.
To your success!
It’s often said that luck is when preparation and opportunity meet. In business, success is based on laying down the foundation of preparation and then taking advantage of the opportunities that come your way.
“Better a broken promise than none at all.” – Mark Twain
At the beginning of the year I made a promise to all of you – the people who read my blog, who watch my videos, and who inspire me to do what I do. I made a commitment to make one blog post every single week for the entire year. Last week I fell short and didn’t make a post. I broke my promise.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we all kept every one of our commitments? How much better would the world be? How much more successful would we all be? How much stronger would the bonds be between the people we love and care about?
I’m a huge believer in living a life of integrity. Doing what you say when you say you’re going to do it. A person of integrity keeps all their commitments no matter how small. After all, when you consistently take care… Continue reading
I recently posted a video called The Million Dollar Secret, and although I received overwhelming support for the idea I shared, I still had a few people who were concerned with some perceived underlying negative issues. One issue that was brought to my attention was the idea that I was “using” people to gain something from a relationship.
Let me state right here that I don’t believe in “using” anyone for anything. Instead, I believe in building relationships. When you build “meaningful” relationships with others, all parties gain something from the relationship.
The most meaningful relationships are based on mutual trust, respect, shared values, passions, and sense of purpose. This applies to all relationships whether it’s with your friends, spouse, business partner, or mentor. Basing relationships on the idea that you can “use” them for certain purposes is a formula destined for failure.
One thing you should know about me is that I LOVE people! It’s one of the… Continue reading
Who am I being? A question I must ask myself every morning when I wake up. I’m a magician, a business speaker, internet marketer, and business consultant. But if I really am all these things, then what am I doing? It isn’t enough to just SAY I am these things. In order to BE, I must DO. It’s an illness that plagues us all. Not being who we say we are.
A painting doesn’t paint itself. An artist must sit and put paint to canvas. Brushstroke after brushstroke until the painting is complete. An artist can’t just begin painting after painting without ever completing one and still call himself an artist. To call oneself an artist, a person must create art.
For me to be a magician, I must create magic in the minds of my audience. Without an audience, there is no magic. To be a business speaker, I must get in front of a group of… Continue reading
A couple of weeks ago I gave my very first lecture for magicians at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. Although I’ve done many speaking presentations for corporate audiences, this was the first time I’ve done a formal speaking presentation for a group of my peers.
For corporate audiences I usually speak about general success principles and I use magic as a metaphor or as pure entertainment during the presentation. This presentation used no magic. Instead, I relied on my specialized knowledge and skills on marketing and business development and I shared this knowledge with the attendees.
It was a very profound experience for me. I was able to impact the lives of people in a way that I’ve never been able to do before. People left inspired, motivated, and with specific tools to grow their businesses. I left this event on a high note.
The very next day, life had a very funny way of showing up. I was… Continue reading
